They recommended them for the Les Paul Studio which I just got today, they have sound clips. Can anyone reccomend the Duncan equivlent for a Les Paul studio. I would like to stay with Duncan Pickups now that I'm through trying out Fender custon shop Stuff. I will try to breaki n these pickups first. The Antiquity II's (SURF) are PERFECT for my American Vintage 62 Strat I can't imagine owning a better instrument now that they're in it.

I don't understand when people say they want to stick with Seymour Duncans or Dimarzio, etc. The manufacturer doesn't matter if you get the sound you want. Consider product support as well. The WCR pickup you chose might be one of their least desireable pickups according to reviews. The ones I'm into are Goodwood. Suggested by another forum bro.

Gibson pickups really are very good. Give them at least a couple of weeks before swapping them. Have you thought about Burstbucker Pros?

I had a set of Crossroads in a Hamer Newport Pro and they sounded like a better '59 set (better tone overall and better balance between the neck and bridge). If I had kept the guitar, I might have replaced the bridge with something a bit hotter (since that's what I tend to go for), but the neck was great. Still, the only Duncan PAFs I've tried are '59's, so for all I know I would have liked an Antiquity, Seth Lover or A2 Pro set better than the Crossroads.
