I saw Ritchie Ramone play last night

And Ben Reagan was playing a really nice looking Silverburst Agile. It kinda surprised me. Most of the other punk bands that played seemed to be using various Gibson Les Pauls, but that Agile sounded really, really good coming through the JCM800 half stack.

Ben had been playing Richie's Goldtop Agile that I installed a GFS VEH in the bridge and GFS Classic II in the neck for a while. That silverburst might actually be stock.

You can get some glimpses of the Goldtop here:

They were playing on Blackstar amps on the tour last year and sounded absolutely killer.

I just dropped a GFS VEH in a guitar this week. What a great pickup.

Yes it is. I have three of them that will be going in guitars in the next few months. One has an A8 that is absolutely amazing sounding.

Re: I saw Ritchie Ramone play last night

I would know for sure if it was stock or not, as he told me to hang out for minute and he would tell me about it after he broke down, but I had to go smoke between sets and didn't see him the rest of the night. Ritchie actually stayed and watched the rest of the bands (The Queers, Big Huge, and a few others) out in the audience. There was some very interesting guitar stuff going on at the show, the first bands guitarist had a little mini synth taped behind the bridge of his telecaster (single coil bridge, p90 neck, and the OLDEST looking Big Muff I have ever seen) that he used for a really cool effect. Another bands guitarist was using a tiny terror into the effects loop input of another amp. I will try to remember more details about which bands were using what gear later, as I was a little bit impaired and some of the stuff is escaping me at the moment. It was a great, super high energy show with a great crowd packed into a tiny venue (The Odditorium in Asheville, probably my favorite venue) with very little drama and bullcrap. All in all, a great night.

What model is that goldtop there? I like the body shape.

I think you're asking about Alex's guitar, Ben plays in the back next to Richie. (There's times when Richie comes out to sing and Ben takes over on drums.)

Re: I saw Ritchie Ramone play last night

Alex has a Heartless Devils sticker on the front of one of his main guitars. I am very proud of that!

Just got a text from Richie, Ben has Gibson humbuckers in it pulled from a Les Paul Studio. I might be able to find out what models after the tour.

Great Video! I was lucky enough to see the Ramones on their fair well tour and I managed to surf the crowd onto the stage! It ranks among the greatest musical moments of my life.
