I stickered my Ibanez

Well, one day I got all creative and daring, so I decided to put some stickers on my RG. They finally came in, so I took some pics and I posted a before shot and some after shots, lemme know what ya think.

Re: I stickered my Ibanez

That's kind of funny, another board I posted on I got a few gripes that I messed up the "beautiful natural finish" haha. The stickers are vinyl though, so they'll come off without a hassle and won't leave any gunk if I get tired of it.

Re: I stickered my Ibanez

Makes your guitar look like something out of the custom shop - like a custom paint job. Definitely good taste - I was expecting some skulls or No Smoking signs or something when I saw the title...

I like the white a lot - reminds me of a "souped-up" civic :) You are a guitar gino ! :)

PS they also go great with the white coils. What pups are those?

Re: I stickered my Ibanez

I thought it was going to look stupid as hell but that's some creative use of those tribals, I like it a lot.

Re: I stickered my Ibanez

I also keep hearing I need something down below the bridge, so I'm looking into that. Not bad for about $10 so far though huh? I got the stickers (there's 4 of 'em) from www.ggstickers.com

As for the pickups, check out my sig :).

Re: I stickered my Ibanez

I always wanted a engraving or sticker like on SRV's Lenny. It's right below the bridge. I can't describe it, but if some1 has a picture of it.... It would look kind of cool on yours in white.

Re: I stickered my Ibanez

I also just noticed you can't really tell too well from the pics, but all 4 of the stickers wrap around the sides, I didn't just slap a few on the front and some others on the back.

Re: I stickered my Ibanez

Haha, no thanks. No offense to Mr. Gilbert of course. Besides, my Artcore has REAL f-holes.

Re: I stickered my Ibanez

Thanks, glad to see all the positive feedback. I think it looks pretty cool :).

Re: I stickered my Ibanez

im thinking of getting one of those in the future, of course though i'll put on f- holes

how'd it sound and feel stock?

Re: I stickered my Ibanez

The stock p'ups actually weren't too bad. Just sort of sterile, and by that I mean tweaking the geet's knobs or changes in pick attack didn't have a huge effect on the sound, but you could pull some nice tones out of 'em.

Setup wasn't bad out of the box either, I really dig the Wizard 2 neck, and the heel access is great, you can see it on the pic of the back of the guitar. Intontaion was dead on, I just lowered the action and tweaked the truss rod a bit (to my liking, you might not think it needs it). I bought mine from American Musical with a case. With new pickups, I got a sweet lead burner for well under $450.

Re: I stickered my Ibanez

I was dreading this and expecting it to be horrific, but thats probably one of the first guitars ive ever seen to look better with stickers (and i think it looked pretty nice before)! Great job, youve got me thinking about a smart set of stickers for my cheap encore now...
