Re: I think i have a problem...

Well, for one, I am glad you have a problem deciding on which one or two to keep. If the El Capistan is still in the running that means that you have made my decision a little easier. I have been even thinking about getting both the Timeline and the el Cap, so if you are really having a tough time about this, maybe just the El Cap will make me happy.

Happy delaying!!!

Re: I think i have a problem...

Let me possibly throw a wrench in the works... I started out with the tape delay being my favorite with the Timeline, but now I've dialed in a dbucket patch that is better than anything that I'm getting with the dtape.

The point is that it'll do both with the ability to switch between the presets instead of having to find that tone again.

I'm Guilty. Knob tweaker whore, actually its more like "into the science and not the practice"

I really want to be a better player. I am not under the illusion that a new pedal or guitar or amp is going to make me a better player. My issue is I get side tracked by the gadgets and unique tonal sounds, modulations, ...etc. I have always been into electronics (Heathkits, Radio Shack..when they still sold tubes:wink:,) My recent fascination with delays and chorus is driving me nuts.

I love the acoustic sound I am getting at the moment with my small setup, a Danelectro 18volt cool cat chorus into a Strymon Brigadier delay. When I switch to electric with the Brigadier....Wow, it really really amazes me how good this pedal sounds compared to the numerous delays I have used/owned. When I hear the demo's of the El Capistan.... when a real guitarist gets a hold of it.... its wondrous. I love the simplicity of it, yet if you dig into it, lots of tweaking can be had.

The timeline I know would be a great pedal.....but just as I love tweaking and gadgetry, I can get turned off by too many parameters and adjustments to get to where I want my ear to hear!

I need to take the Nike commercial advice....JUST DO IT and then make up my mind, get it over with, then learn to play the guitar better. I really need to get to the better guitar player part first.:smack:
