Ok, I love the sound of Les paul's bridge bucker.. but im not so hot on thick neck bucker tone... add that to the fact I can't work with the control layout and don't really like the shorter scale.
I love the feel of telecasters (neck and body shape).. cep't im not 100% convinced their tone is for me
I love positions 2 + 4 on a strat...
So - the logical step would be to get a
 TeleStratoGib
So I'm just asking if this is a good idea?
Basically here's the specs i'm looking at.
Mahogany body, flamed maple cap (yes or no... im guessing it will add some brightness and clarity to the tone?)
H/S/S configuration.
String through hardtail but possibly vintage or wilks trem (no floyds! :fing25: )
A pretty hefty maple neck and a rosewood board.
It will have one tone and one volume pot with a pull push for a coil split on the bridge, and a 5 way selector switch - set out a la my main strat -
crap picture but hey...
and i kinda like this colour too
Ok tell me if the idea is good or not
