I don't blame you. I love mine!!! Especially the fact its a roadking. It is like having a vintage fender, a vintage marshall, and a DUAL RECTIFIER stack in one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I am not yet set up to transfer my tracks of my roland vs-880 to the computer. I have an audio technica at-4033 condenser mike. Thing is i have not recorded it yet as i have been using it more for practicing when i am not practicing on my strat unplugged. When i get my chops more where i want them maybe then i will be set up to transfer my tracks to the computer
and then i will let my rectifier SCREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for you. I mean i can play my instument well but iam tryin to push the envolope on speed and melody. Trying to learn tapping and i have definatly made progress. have some songs recorded with a different tone source. I want to redo the guitat tracks soon with the recto!!!! Have not had my recto quite a year yet. I played a gig at a church with the band i was with back in april and it sounded awesome (not with that band anymore). You have great taste in amps for sure! I do hope you are able to get one. You cant beat the road king rectos for versatillity. God bless and Rock on!!!!!!!!:cool3:

What made you use a condensor mike as opposed to a dynamic such as a shure sm57?

I actually have not used that mike yet. If i were to record the recto its the only mike i have right now. I am sure a dynamic would likely be the perfered method. I have heard of a combo of dynamic and condensors being used. (I got that mike mostly for vocals and the occasional acoustic)The dynamic mikes for close miking and the condensers for distant miking. As for my tracks i have the recorder will send it i just don't have any audio ins either digital or analogue on this computer. I would love to have a pro tools set up to record my music.
