That sounds like a recipe for a muddy neck. I would use the neck calibrated version for the neck.

I gotta say - I do like the idea of an Invader or an X2n in the neck. Throw a series/parallel/split with for flexibility on there for the neck.

Looks like I'm contacting the Custom shop for a Neck & Bridge specific set of Slugs! Whee, here we go!!
