I like it. Nice color and top. That headstock gives it a more modern look.
If you want it, wait till 3 minutes before the auction ends, then thow out a bid that's
5 dollars less than the BIN price. 3 minutes leaves little time for someone to react and counterbid, but leaves enough time for the signal to reach Ebay. Few people think to do that, and it usually insures that you get it, often for WAY less. If someone jumps and Buys it Now, just chalk it up as another you looked at, but didn't buy.
1. What`s the BIN price? The maximum cash you wanna pay?
2. "If someone jumps and Buys it Now, just chalk it up as another you looked at, but didn't buy" <--- What do you mean with this?
1. BIN= Buy it now, the price that you can immediately end the auction with if nobody has bid yet
2. What he means is: Be patient, don´t get caught up in anxiety like I did and pre bid to kill the BIN, and if all goes wrong and somebody DOES BIN it, either grab a case of beer and get drunk, or turn around and look for the next one that comes by
Just got her, but I´m slightly disappointed. There are some small cracks in the edges of the fretboard, and some frets are also slightly "wider" than ideal (That´s what happens when an axe hangs uncared for on a wall for a few years). The nut is also not exactly the cat´s meow for my strings, some of the slots are a bit tight...
And the Whammy bar is missing, but I DID get a set of Straplocks with her, so that goes even
I´ll give her a good setup and see what happens. It´s all nothing major, she plays great and sounds terrific. I think she´ll stay, though
Pics I´ll post on the weekend with the rest of the family´s mugshots
After 5 hours of nonstop playing, I´d say she´s staying for a LOONG time
Nice chunky neck, but still fast as hell. Dito for the tone, nice and clear, but with a good fat thump to it. But a definite Vintage Vibe as well. The Wilkinson/Sperzel combo works like a charm as predicted. Upper fret access isn´t quite what I was hoping for,(Remember, I´m used to Neck-thrus) but it´s good enough for me to work with.
Fine axe, cost me a good sum, but she was worth it. At least to me
