This was really bugging me. I loved the way the SE Soapbar II played but could'nt believe how bad it sounded. I drove back to the store and told the owner about it. He plugged another guitar with P90's in to make a comparison. Sounded great. Then he plugged in the one I was interested in. He played one chord and said it was definatley out of phase. Turned out the reason why the guitar sounded so weak was due to a bad pot. He replaced the pot, plugged it and and oh my gawd!! Night and day diffearance. Talk about guts and clarity!! That little beauty is now in my possesion.

Yes, they look promising. Not a big PRS type guitar fan, but having one in my arsenal couldnt hurt.

I had a PRS SE Soapbar Single Cut P-90 and a Santana SE and both are excellent guitars. I was really surprised how good the craftsmanship was. I had Seymours in both before I sold them and they sounded awesome. Great bang for the buck and highly recommended.

I'm seriously thinking about picking one in a couple of weeks but I've only played a red one and really want to see pictures of the vintage white. Anyone have a link? The Tobacco Burst is another one in the running. The one that I played was very nice.

Yep, the one in white is the one I bought. It plays as good as it looks.

Yeah the cheaper SE double cuts are all flat tops to keep costs down to my knowledge
