Sure, depending on the size you could use fiber optic strands or real LEDs.

It would rule if you could push a button on the body and have all the notes in the key of whatever-major/minor light up all up and down the fretboard. Maybe there could be some type of module inserts one could use to trigger lights on the fretboard for songs, scales, fancy light shows, etc.

that's so awesome dude. how much does doing a job like that run you?

Well at first it cost a lot because I didn't have most of the specialty tools needed for this. But now, per guitar, it runs about $40-55 in materials alone.

I found the pics from when I first started, but they are on my other computer right now The body is an RG7421 and the neck is an RG7621...
