Ibanez AFR pups

These are active pickups on an old Ibanez SR200OL. I been having some issues with it: The pickups produce a very loud crackle/hum, particularly when the P pickups are engaged. The J pup is pretty quite. It gets worse when I engage the concentric EQ (produces a "whooshing sound when I rotate the knobs). At the moment I have no strings on the bass... and I did use fresh batteries. Can I spray the pots? There is a lot of corrosion in areas. Been in a basement for years and it's very-- musty/moldy.

Well, I've come close to a decision-- Since the electronics were so neglectd, I'm presuming that they may be beyond repair: lots of shorts, crackles, hum, corrosion. Would it just be cheaper to replace the entire system? Can you ever bring 15 year old and nelected active elctronics back to life?
