I don't have to worry about that with my girlfriend... she's like... tiny. She doesn't really have tits... she's a 32A and barely fits in her bras. Poor her...

Poor her?? Poor YOU!!! :laugh2: :laugh2:  :blackeye:

Breast size preferences are totally personal. I think you guys should be gentlemen and just drop it. Stick to the topic.

I'd get her the Celtic telecaster. It has multiple advantages,

1. The celtic thing (it is celtic right?)
2. thin neck (girls have small hands)
3. only one humbucker to upgrade (saves ya money and possibly more expenses in the future ;) )
4. She already told you she likes the way a telecaster looks and also a les paul, this is a good inbetween shape with the arched top and all)
5.She already told you how badass this guitar looks (that's a hint man! open your senses!)
6. good price, decent quality
I agree with just about all of those points. Nightburst makes some really great arguments. You know right off the bat that she likes the Tele look and the fact that you're both Irish would add a little bit of personal meaning to it. Girls love that. When you can personalize a gift, DO IT. Also, there's nothing wrong with the quality of Epi's.... in fact, I've been more than happy with Epiphone in the past.... but Fenders are awesome and if you already know she'd be happy with the Celt, then why continue questioning it? Again, that's just my opinion.

EDIT: All the people who recommended Epiphone and Ibanez so far in this thread have also added the caveat that you would almost HAVE to change the pickups to get decent tone. I've never played the Celtic Tele, but I know that most Fenders have quality pickups right out of the box. The amount you spend on pups should not exceed the cost of the instrument. The Fender will sound good anyway, plus you only have one pup to replace, should you decide to.

I hate to double post, but I'd just like to add that I found the exact guitar we're talking about on sale at Musician's Friend (I think it's been discontinued).

Man, that's really a steal. Solid mahogany.... set neck.... quality Fender pickup... all for under 300. That's a 600 dollar guitar for the price of a Squier. I love mahogany guitars, so I might even go for it. I'd hurry if I were you, though.
