I dig the body style. How do they sound, though (discluding stock pups, obviously. Ibanez pups=trash)? Do they play well? I dont know any differences between the IC350s and 400s etc.
i had an ic300 i sounded pretty sick with stock pups ( i swear i was gonna replace them but they sounded way too good ) i sold it 'cause i hate neck heavy guitars,
I've got an alder Warmoth Iceman body for sale in the link below.
I dig the shape a lot...pretty comfertable & the old 70's/80's Iceman's were groovy cool with the mahogany bodies but the new ones have (I swear!) a slightly smaller body and NOT even close to the same tone being a bolt-on with whatever body wood they're using these days...probably basswood or agathis.
Of course...finding an original Iceman is tough & when you do they tend to be uber expensive.
I have a friend who had an IC300. It rocked. What can I say? Nice resonance, suuuper hot midrangey pickups that actually worked well if you wanted to intimidate 80's metal heads. It was a newer production bolt neck model, made before they discontinued and then brought it back to life this latest time.
You gotta get the set neck versions. They are awesome. And the Ibanez pups, like the Gibsons, are not horrible or even mediocre. There is always, however, a Duncan with more of what you need/want.
