Ibanez RG 350

a local store has a used like new White Ibanez RG 350 in white in for a great price... $229 Canadian... here they sell for about $419 new... it's in great shape from what i can tell... it's the Indonession made RG... kind of cool for about $229...

i don't really need it but for the price i'm sitting on the fence... I'm not a huge Ibanez fan... but having another guitar with a locking nut sounds good to me these days... any imput on these things?

Thats what I traded my ML in on- RG350EX made in Indonesia.

The one I picked is EXCELLENT. Great fret work, built tight, nice resonant piece of basswood- Floyd copy stays in tune well. GREAT value. The white one next to it (350DX), along with 4 other much more expensive Ibanez' didnt play or sound half as good as the one I picked up.

Only thing it needs is a pickup swap. :smash:

A friend of mine had the DX version. It was pretty bad, to be honest. Pickups, bad. The trem had a hard time keeping the strings tuned. The wood... I can't remember, really. It felt very cheap, and the knobs started to get loose and noisy very quickly. I made him sell it and buy a MIM Strat instead.

Test it extensively before taking it home. You might get lucky like JeffB did!

Yeah, there are def alot of dogs in the 350 series. The DX white version is one of my absolute fave guitars aesthetically. I just think that is a brilliant looking guitar and I've wanted one for a few years. But nearly every 350 I ever picked up was pretty poor. This EX is an exception-someone in Indonesia was bucking for a raise on the assembly line or something that day

FWIW the Ibanez SA120 I bought was also made in Indonesia and was very well built for the price and also had a nice sounding piece of mahogany. They are out there, but ya gotta play a bunch, just like an Epi les Paul, or MIM strat.

looking around my room tonight at the axes i own and need to get working i think i'm going to pass on this Ibanez because i need another axe like a hole in the head... also if i bought i'd be even more broke... i checked my bank account and all i have $300 in it.... and $250 is spoken for before i get paid again in 2 weeks.... I could visa it but it would be a month or more before i could pay it off and i'm sopposed to be on holidays around that time... and i like the idea of having more cash around my holidays if i can
