Hey, im thinking about buying an ibanez, i cant afford a 1570, but i can get an rgt42fm. i played one at the music store today and i loved the feel of the neck, they didnt have a 1570 in stock so i couldnt try it out. So anyways im wondering if the rgt42 is a good buy, if anyone has any expirience playing one if you could let me know what you think of the guitar i'd apreciate it. thanks

Re: Ibanez rgt42fm opinions

this has to be like the greatest playing guitar i own. i barely ever play mine though because im not into metal but ive been keeping it around just in case i ever go back. the action on these can be set up so low and it plays like a shreders dream. i have the rgt42 that dosent have the flame top, i like the looks of the one with the flame top but i dont like the trem as much.

Re: Ibanez rgt42fm opinions

I just got the RG 1570 for X-mas and I love it. I played several of the Ibanez models with the WIzard II neck and wasn't wild about them. I was thinking about getting an ESP KH 203. Wife surprised me with this guitar. I think the Wizard Prestige neck is worth the extra 100 bucks or so they want for it. I got mine at Guitar Center Seattle for $560.00. The prestige neck is, in my opinion far superior to the Wizard II. I like playing this guitar better than my old Les Paul Deluxe (something I thought I'd never say). Also the Edge Pro bridge is pretty nice. I don't have enough experience with tremolos to say whether its better or worse than anything else but I like it. I don't know what they want for the RGt 42. If you like the neck it would probably be worth it to get the nech through the body! Good luck!
