I have an RT450. For those who dont know the RT is ibanez' attempt at making a RG that feels like a strat. It was only made in 93 and early 94
Standard Appointments (RT450)
MIJ
3 piece alder (RG body style)
1 piece maple neck with skunk stripe (viper contour, like a comfy strat)
Vintage neck finish w/o black headstock
rosewood board
mop dots
24 frets
Gotoh 2 pt trem
Gotoh locking tuners
IBZ V7 (n)
IBZ S2 (m)
IBZ V8 (b)
Vol-Tone/coil split 500k
5 way autosplit
Tortise shell pickguard

i got mine off ebay for 200 w shipping

Mine is black, the previous owner sanded the finish off the neck and its really smooth. The pickguard was also replaced with a Creme Pearl guard for an RG. Apparently the RG pickguards holes do not line up with the ones on the body. But i looks cool anyway lol
The knobs were replaced with some aged strat ones. And the rest was stock.

Since i got it i installed
250k pots (tone wired only to middle pickup)
Superswitch (auto split)
Dimarzio Bluesbucker (n) swapped out ceramic magnets for A5s
Dimarzio Virtual Vintage Blues (m)
Dimarzio Virtual Hot PAF (b)
all the pickups are creme

The guitar is really resonate and is one of the best feeling guitar i have played.

I dont have a camera at the moment so no pic but i will get one up soon.

BTW post the pics of your RTs! I love these guitars.

Re: Ibanez RT Series

I have an RT650 which I am in the midst of putting a new pickup in. Fantastic guitars, I got mine off eBay for 400 bucks which is pretty good. I love the trem on it, but I replaced the stock Ghoto Magnum tuners with Sperzel's which are better in my opinion. I have a Duncan SH-5 in the bridge and a DiMarzio Super Distortion that is going in the neck, not rewiring the single coil since I don't use it so much like Richie Blackmore, it will just be a dummy pickup. Here is mine prior to the mods, which I am working on right now so the guitar is kinda in pieces:
