Greekdude, I've seen some on Ebay. First, FU-Tone produces them: http://www.ebay.com/itm/FU-Tone-for...040090?hash=item1eaa0da61a:g:oc0AAOxyjNlRyy~O. Also, there is a guy who makes them. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ibanez-LO-T...hash=item33af63b2ec:m:mq_deOademGP5gIJzcCPMyg. He has blocks for many Ibanez trems. Also, there was a guy from Britain - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-St...726c67d&pid=100011&rk=1&rkt=3&sd=151909691476. He has only Strat blocks, but I guess, he is capable of producing any.

Mine block is being machined here in Moscow, if you want to contact the man who has made it, PM me.

Greekdude, I've just written a big post with some examples of blocks, but it's awaiting for moderator approval, so it will appear here later. As for mine block, it is custom-made here in Moscow.

Yeah but you only say that because you purchased an indo ibby. I bet if you had the coin for a mij you would be singing a different tune.

haha..dude, I've got both a '94 MIJ model S-540 LTD & a newer 7-string S-7420 (..think that's the model :p) which is Indonesian & they are both equally well made in every way. People laud the Lo-pro on the MIJ over the ball-bearing/ZR trems on the Indo stuff...but they're both equally stable & both great bridges imo. The indo is a beautiful player & played great out of the box after I lowered the action a bit. My old MIJ actually needed the 13th fret filed down when I bought it new because it buzzed, but has played like a dream ever since. I honestly think neither is "superior" to the other in any way..

Thanx pls PM me the details, I might order one from your machinist.

Thank Greekdude

MIA Fenders use steel blocks; anyway I don't know about Special and Highway models. Zinc blocks are default for Mexican models. Anyway I strongly disliked them on Squiers and Mex Standards and prefer to get solid steel or brass.

Depends on how the block is made, though. Gotoh makes some very nice trems with quality Zinc blocks. Tyler uses them, and Suhr too, if you ask.

I can only go by the two i have compared, I have no idea about yours or anyone else. I go by frets mostly and i think the mij ends are better.

Both are really good but my mij IMO, remember IMO was better. :10: Both certainly better than those raven west show ponies. :9:

Re: Ibanez S 440 Japan or new Ibanez S 520

I'm keeping my zinc on my Ibbie 540RR, but that is a en Edge LoPro from 91.
Probally the loudest superstrat I ever had!
Floyds can yield alot of ping ding sounds....they don't need help for that ;)

Re: Ibanez S 440 Japan or new Ibanez S 520

I love my zinc blocks! All my trems; LoPro/ZR/Floyd/Floyd copies..still have them!

The one time I tried a big brass block I hated it so much I swapped the zinc block back in asap :lmao:

I read somewhere that zinc has the closest density/resonance to wood & transfers vibration best (something like that).. well ..maybe/maybe not..all I know is it sounds way better to me than brass..

Both certainly better than those raven west show ponies. :9:

Bugger off..buy one and you'll be warming yourself in winter with those Saber's of yours.. ;)

Peter, the first you posted is not like yours Edge Zero II. Remember Edge Zero != Edge Zero II. The second is not even Edge Zero to begin with. I had sent Fu-tone emails, several times, and they are supposed to "getting there" but never release a product. I have done this research many times with no useful results. Most probably I'll ask for a quotation from your machinist.
