Ideal amp to go with a podxt?

Re: Ideal amp to go with a podxt?

I loved my PODxt through a power amp and a real guitar cabinet (turning off any cab/mic simulation), but that's out of your price range. Like Zerb said, there's probably nothing decent in your price range. I would keep the PODxt though, it's great to just practice by yourself. Playing at all hours of the night is fun :)

If your 900 has an effects loop, just run the POD into the "return" jack of the effects loop. That goes directly to the power amp section. Just pure clean power. At least give it a try. Also, I just ran my singers podxt live through my little crate power block and it sounded real good. It also makes a great little backup guitar amp.

The regular POD is toughter to work with..Def wanna go Atomic that way.

However the XT Live has some extra eq functioning specifically tailored for running into the front ends of combos and heads, as well as in the loop of combos and heads and works much better that way.

The PODxt' s "What Are You Connecting To?" options used to be Direct / 2x12 / 4x12 / Bose PS1, but a patch I downloaded from Line6 late last year changed them to Direct / Combo Front w EQ / Combo Poweramp / Stack Front w EQ / Stack Poweramp / Bose PS1.
