Some of you may have seen my other thread about nearly buying a JCM 2000 (TSL602), and although i missed out on it ive started GAS'in for a good valve amp, and welcome any recomendations.
Heres the specs i need,
-2 x 12 combo
-defiantly a tube amp
-Reliable and gigable
-i will be buying used and for about £500, could maybe push that up a bit if something good enough caught my eye. (bare in mind we dont get anywhere near as much for our cash as in USA)
- Mainly play Punk and rock music, Mid-gain stuff and like a fat and full sound.

I think the marshall fulfills all these criteria and comes quite well recommended, but i thought id ask you guys and your infinite knowledge incase there is better out there. BTW i am open to any brands.

Re: Idea's for a decent tube amp.

The only that comes to my mind would an Ashdown Fallen Angel 60 watts but I'm not sure it's a 2 X 12...

ENGL thunder 50!!! I've got one myself and I love it... It a great amp for the price!! :) But it isn't a 2x12, It only has 1x12.

Re: Idea's for a decent tube amp.

The Ashdown Peacemaker 60 has 2 speakers, and is more of a medium gainer than the Fallen Angel (which is more nu-metal). Also, try and find an Orange amp - they give a lurrrrrvly british crunchy sound!!!
