Ideas for reverb pedal for new board

Re: Ideas for reverb pedal for new board

I was looking at the Eventide H9 after it was mentioned. How many effects can be used on it at a time? More than one?

I am going to a great shop this weekend that carries strymon and Eventide in stock so I'm looking forward to trying some in person. After all the reviews I'm leaning toward these.

I don't like the Hall of Fame pedals. Even with the mix knob I can never seem to find a level of mix that sounds or feels natural. If you're looking in that price range-ish (Within 50 dollars give or take) I would highly recommend the Digitech Polara if you want a subtler/more natural verb and the Boss RV-6 if you are looking for a longer/ambient/strymonesque verb.

If you are looking for something that is just a direct replacement with a few tonal steps up from the Verbzilla I would go for the Polara, even if I absolutely hate the aesthetics of the pedal.

I mean, we could all just recommend you the Strymon Big Sky but I don't know if you want to spend 400 dollars on a reverb pedal.

Whilst not cheap, the Neanuber Wet is awesome. Nowhere near as expensive as the Strymon or Eventide though.

Well my wallet feels much lighter but I walked away with a Big Sky. It was maybe the most obvious choice but to be honest I really didn't want to spend that much. However the minute I played it I knew it felt right. Lots of options and I really like the way it interacts with the basic tone. Thanks for all the advice guys!

It's a fantastic pedal. Every time I've played with one of strymon's bigger pedals I walk away thinking 'wow, there's something really special here'. Congrats on the awesome pedal!

If you can't find a sound in the Big Sky you like, then you don't like Reverb...good choice.

My personal faves have been the Mr. Black Eterna, and right now, I'm really liking the Hungry Robots Little Gazer.

Lovepedal has a great reverb pedal out now HSR-3. I got one and its has 3 modes and a tone control.
