Popped my cherry! Tried a Friedman PT20 with it's 2x12 cab, with a Chapman Ghost Fret a couple of days ago.
I have to say, it sounds spectacular. I didn't quite get the grasp of the three modes, but it sounded consistently killer. Not a bad tone to be had out of it, at every volume.
And 20 watts? Are you kidding me? It's loud as ****.
However, and I can't A/B test them properly but still, I'll say two things.
1) It didn't quite blow my socks off the way the Bogner Shiva 2x12 combo I tried a few years ago did. That's still my most impressive amp ever moment.
2) I wouldn't sell my Tweaker to get the Friedman. It's just too ****ing expensive this side of the world for what I think would be, maybe, a 15%-20% improvement in real life usage for me.
Still, there's a few other units at the store like the Runt 20 and the mini Dirty Shirley. I really wanna give them all a test and see what's what.
