What were your impressions of the amp....compared to the Soho & the others you've tried ?

It was a gold and a G12H, IIRC.

The control setup is the same as the Soho, but it departs from the London/Soho tone quite a bit. Much more towards a slightly Marshally BF Deluxe kind of tone. I compared it to my 4xJJ6V6 Victoria Double Deluxe and the 65 was brighter and tighter, with less overall gain.

I'd be interested to hear the /13 FTR37 alongside it, as I think it may cover similar territory.

After reading alot of these posts and doing other research...i think that i need 3 amps...lol!!!

I'd shoot for Nigel Toughnel's Marshall with the knobs that go to eleven.

same scenario as the guitar thread...

if i could walk into a nice/boutique music shop and buy any amp i wanted...what would it be?

nothing insance like a Dumble or Trainwreck of course...but something more like...Matchless, BadCat, /13, 65amps, Victoria, Two Rock, etc...

i would want something with enough clean headroom to sparkle and jangle with depth and bottom like there's know tomorrow, but also something with a NASTY bite and snarl when needed!?

i'm thinking that EL84's are probably my best bet...but i've only played el84's and 6L6's...!?

what do you guys think?!
