If you could have just ONE rig..

Re: If you could have just ONE rig..

Slight redo of my current rig.

Ibanez JS1000WH with Tone Zone Bridge and Air Norton neck.
Mesa Boogie Mark III Head Simul Class (identical to my combo)
Mesa Boogie Theile cab and Mesa Boogie 4x12 cab
Keeley baked TS 9
JDunlop JH Wah

And that's it.

Re: If you could have just ONE rig..

just one rig....

Tele and Bogner Metropolis

Its an incredibly good-sounding AND versatile rig. Blues, classic rock and country are all easily accessible. I shape the sound a bit with an HBE Retro comp, Lovepedal Ezekiel fuzz, Lovepedal Eternity overdrive, and BJFE Honey Bee overdrive. I've also got a Clyde wah, and a Voodoo Labs Microvibe that I'll use occasionally.

Re: If you could have just ONE rig..

Guitar: Gibson SG

Amp: Fender Dual Showman Head(Set to Clean, obviously :smokin: )

Cab: Fender 4x12, or 2x12

Effects: Homebrew Electronics Psiclocybe Phaser, Lovepedal MagicBoy Vibe, Diamond Pedals J-drive/Treble Booster(Main OD/Lead tone), Lovepedal Karl Fuzz(Octaved Lead Sound).

Re: If you could have just ONE rig..

I own the one rig i could live with if i never buy anything else.... with any luck i'll never sell or have to sell this set up..... i use a head switcher unit that allows me to switch between two heads into one cab... In one loop i have the 5150, and the other i have a Classic 50 head..... I use either a small 1x12 Marshall cab or a Peavey 5150 4x12... a Donlop Wah, a Boss Chorus... and a Godin Soldac, along with a Jackson Reverse Dinky for Floyd stuff...

The Godin has a Piezo Trem bridge.... I use it a lot thru the C50's Clean channel and it sounds good... when the whole rig is together i have 5 different channels/tones..... C50 Clean, C50 mild Distorted, 5150 Rythym Channel, 5150 Solo.... Plus the Piezos make 5 different basic sounds... I never take an acoustic to any gigs or jams....

The last band i was in would do Supertramp's Give A Little Bit one minute and the next Ice Cream Man by VH.... I need a rig with the best sounds for all sorts of different stuff... But man this rig sounds good! Best i have ever had and many players and people at shows came up to me afterwards wanting to know how i got all those sounds

(note..I used to love turning my Chorus on and off for different parts during some of the Piezo stuff i was playing on Supertramps Give A Little Bit..... That Chorus would give that Flange like effect that is on the recording)

Re: If you could have just ONE rig..

-HSS Fender Strat (Super Distortion)
-Marshall JCM 800/900

Pedals: Tubescreamer/Some other OD, Dunlop wah, Boss delay

Re: If you could have just ONE rig..

Im happy with my current rig...

Dean Hardtail Select (korean)

Bad Horsie, Bluesdriver, TU-2 tuner

into my Laney GH50L with matching Laney Cab

Money no object???

USA Hardtail

Not sure about pedals, i like the bad horsie. If i find and OD that works better for me than the BD-2 then ill switch.

Hughes and Kettner Triamp (or maybe Duotone). I heard one or the other at a guitar show. Sounded fantastic. In reality though i do love my Laney alot.

Re: If you could have just ONE rig..

This is tough!!!

I think I'd have all my bases covered with my 135 and Tele. I do love P-90s and strats though, so I'll go with...

GUITARS:
Gibson ES-135
Fender American Tele
Melancon S-Style
Gibson Les Paul Special (not the faded, one of the older double cuts)
Fender TC-90 as a backup...

AMP:
This is hard...
I guess I'll go with the H&K Duotone. Cleans weren't perfect, but it's the closest thing to perfect for me.

EFFECTS:
Keeley Compressor
Line 6 DL-4
Ibanez TS-808 (modded)
Fulltone Clyde Wah
Assortment of other OD pedals

Re: If you could have just ONE rig..

Im a pretty simple straight up guy. I would totally have Zakk Wyldes amp setup but i love my guitar that i have now so i wouldnt really want another one but his Grail guitar would be sweet to have. The only change in his rig that i would have would be a crybaby from hell.

Re: If you could have just ONE rig..

Ok. I guess I'll take 2 Mesa Boogie Mark IV full stacks...

Rock ON ~ Kac

Re: If you could have just ONE rig..

My Classic Series Strat, but with a set of Surfers.

A Les Paul with a Brobucker/PG set.

Into a Celtic Edana w/ KT66 tubes going into Marshall 4x12 with a setup of Heritage G12M and G12H speakers and a Leslie cabinet/Fender Vibratone with a footpedal that switches it on/off and fast/slow.

With Spina-Modded V847, a Fulltone '69 Fuzz, and a Rangemaster-type pedal.

With that, I'd be happy with my rig for the rest of my life :)
