Re: If you could have one guitar...

Not that I´m disappointed, but I wouldnt have expected my beloved soloists to be such a strong second place :saeek::cool:

*EDIT* Or even tied for first, I must be drunk again (Not they don´t deserve it) :alcoholic:

Actually .. the tele.

Because I don't have any decent single coil guitars, would probably be a wise move to add to the arsenal!

Axis comes in second if I can't keep the guitars I already own

Re: If you could have one guitar...

I voted for the Tele. I currently have a Les Paul and a Strat, and there is another Les Paul on its way to me as we speak, but I've owned a Tele before, and played quite a few. They are incredibly versatile, and beautiful in their simplicity. If I had to limit myself to one guitar for life I know a Tele could cover all the styles I'm likely to want to play. As soon as Mrs_F forgets the new Les Paul I'm gonna be Tele hunting again. :32:

Re: If you could have one guitar...

I would go with a G&L S-500 since it is very versatile, can sound close to a Strat or flip the toggle and Les Paul-like tones are there. It also has a whammy bar is you are so inclined. Plus mine almost seems to play itself.

Re: If you could have one guitar...

If I can mod it, the Fat Strat. I like single coils and could probably live without humbuckers, considering I only get one guitar to play for the rest of my life.

Re: If you could have one guitar...

Now it´ll be a JS1000 but a Fender Powerstrat ain´t bad either :burnout:.
If you got to choose you always loose..somehow.

Re: If you could have one guitar...

From that list my favorite would be the Gibson, Les Paul Standard. In the real world my first choice would be a G&L, S-500.

A long as the Fat Strat has the new S1 switching. More tones with Neck and midle PUPs in series.

Re: If you could have one guitar...

Out of the bunch, most definitely the LP standard. The Axis comes second. In the reality, I don't need anything more than I already have. Maybe, two or three pieces of the very same axe for backup.
