that just proves they (like many other compainies) are money hungry a$$holes!! I use monster cable for my guitars (which are giving me problems by the way and i planned on changing anyway)...not my cars though i use stinger there...far better wire and cables IMO!! what on earth does Monsters Inc and Monster Garage have to do with monster cable...for god sakes, i think i'm going to go patent the word THE and take everyone who uses it to court. it's not like the show is called monster cable garage and the movie wasn't monster cable inc. for some reason this showing of PURE GREED has me a bit pissed off and i don't know why...i tend to just shrug this stuff off but this is just wrong. it would make sence that monster cable owns the full name monster cable...not just the word monster...WTF is that about, how can that case even get near a court? are they going to sue Van Halen next for having "the monsters of rock tour?" or metallica for the book and movie "some kind of monster?" oh no wait...big foot is a "monster" truck...better take them to court too.....all i have to say is &^*#%^*@%$&%@)$^@$&)@$&@)^$&_@_!~!!!!

It sounds like a waste of everybody's time and money. I'm no lawyer, but I don't see anything that would pervent someone from using the word "monster" in their name, other than threat of a lawsuit. Are they going to go after everyone with "cables" in their name next? Looks like they are finally up there with the big boys (Gibson and Fender).

That is totally insane. I've never bought their cables before case they cost to much but I'll never buy their cables if I do have the money now. I hope that things turn around on them and they go bankrupt. That pisses me off to. They don't own the term Monster, only Monster Cable. Sorry sonsa bitches.

But if it's true, there is something seriously wrong with those people. Does the court take these kind of cases seriously?

I can't imagine them having the financial power to sue all these companies though. How can they sue Disney ?? Disney is a HUGE corporation. I hope these guys get stopped in their tracks....

I've been telling people forever that monster cables are wayyyyyyy overpriced and are nothing special. If anyones looking for good quality check out mogami or canare cable.

I could see them suing a business using the name Monster if it was a competing or similar business, but just the use of the word Monster on anything? That's dumb. At least Metallica had the uniqueness of a fictitious name (Metallica) when they sued the perfume company that used the name, but Monster is an English word found in the dictionary. How can they claim the exclusive use of that name on any product, not even remotely close to their own is just absurd.

Thats insane!!! I have never used monster cables with my guitars or home audio and this gives me another reason to not use them.

ok i just read the article. seems monster is trying to broaden their market penetration, thru the use of lawsuits. "The company's general counsel, David Tognotti, said the company is now involved in "great partnerships" with all three companies." sounds like it to me....

Zaolla cables, DAMMIT! These are prolly the best cables out there. They use Silver as a conductor, and they are ridiculously shielded.The sound is superior to any copper cable, IMO. And I've tried A LOT of cables. They ain't cheap, but they DO sound better!
