Were I to inheirit a '59 LP 'Burst, I would sell it, buy 10 Custom order Hamers, and buy a nice house and nice car.

Seriously, being jacked up an Adderall (I have recently been diagnosed and treated with ADD and OCD), I would take the $300,000 guitar, lend it to the manufacturer or a ghost builder, and pay to have a replica built out of the same woods, pickups to the same specs, have a few built (assuming they'd be $10,000-$15,000) then sell the $300,000 guitar to the highest bidder. In the case of a Les Paul, a MAX replica, or another ghostbuilder.

The market for vintage guitars, just like the stock market, could drop out at any time. For that money you're mqainly just paying for the name brand. You could pay alot less to have a lutheir hunt out vintage woods, and in today's time, use aged pickups (like SD or Fralin) to build a guitar that will sound the same or close enough, and most likely play alot better.
