Of buying a fake scalloped Fender branded neck.
I had no idea that it was branded, I assumed it would have one of those cheesy 'hook' headstock.

It is actually very nice. I bought it on Amazon and it never had a complete or clear photo of the headstock.

I don't know why people get overly concerned about the "logo" thing. You can't fight the system. There are literally hundreds of these fake necks flowing into the U.S. from China every day.

As long as you're honest about it when/if you go to sell the neck or a guitar that has this neck on it, there's nothing more that needs to be said. I wouldn't modify the neck or try to hide what it is.

Let Fender go after the Chinese companies selling this stuff if they have a problem with it.

Or, heck, maybe Fender could instead offer something to compete, like reasonably spec'd necks of their own that aren't $400+! They already have factories in China, so this wouldn't be a stretch for them!

I have no idea how a company like Fender or Gibson can go after fakes made in these countries. They would have to go after the importers, I guess. It isn't like you can fly to those countries and ask them to stop or else you will take them to a US court. They would laugh at you.

I'm pretty sure it's all on the importers, and I don't think they're penalized, they just lose their shipment to a customs seizure.
. This neck was shipped to me from a "sorting facility" in Glencarson California.
