I know....sell all your non-Gibsons on Ebay and the Trader section one week, and you'll have just about enough money to buy it. Where does Gibson come up with those car prices for their best LP's? They probably sit around a table and throw out numbers like $4700! $4500! $8200! Nah too much....$4999....yeah that sounds good!

Hahaha yeah its a bit ridiculous the prices they come up with for guitars, although i disagree with you on your use of "car prices"...my gibson is worth about ten times my car!

LOL.....I hear ya bro. Their prices are pretty ridiculous nowadays. I'm just glad we got our Les Pauls before prices went through the roof. Still, you can't tell me one of those blue/silver or red/silvers wouldn't be pretty damn sweet.

Oops i forgot to mention that i absolutely love the darkness, and also i remember actually liking the 57 classics from when i had my es137 custom for a couple of weeks (before taking it back due to poor craftsmanship), but i remember the bridge especially sounding pretty damn cool under high gain. Couldhave had something to do with the guitar too though

Gibson dropped the 1968 CA Custom to add that to their line up...therefor I do not like it!!!

anyone have pics of the silver/blue and silver/red finishes? i checked the gibson custom site when i saw this in musicians friend but all i've seen is the silver burst.

I'm not usually a fan of the typical Les Paul look. But this is a very nice, modern looking update of a classic guitar. Gibson should take some chances and design some more modern looking versions of their guitars like this one, but without the celebrity endoresements and huge price tags.
