I'm starting a new guitar project.

Re: I'm starting a new guitar project.

hmmm and why not a stencil of your own logo?
it's a parts warrior but it doesn't means you can't put whatever logo you want, even your own......

for the screws i'm sure you can go to any hardware store with a screw from other of your guitars and just find one the same size

btw bro, that warrior is just getting amazing!

thank you thank you thank you man! I'm on my way to the hardware store right now.... maybe some coffee and donuts too...

Edit. I think I have everything I need ordered now.... except maybe fretboard decals....
Bought a Floyd Rose Special off ebay, bought the crazy barrel output jack on ebay... just ordered some Schaller straploks.... just waiting on the mailman to finish this baby up!

I Can't wait to hear her.

Ordered a new strap too, just because.....

Re: I'm starting a new guitar project.

Floyd came in the mail today!
Got it all installed... Had to sand the pickup rings a lot to get them to fit....working on my nut shim right now to get the action buttery... Mmmmm still waiting on the dang jack to show up so I can hear it.

Re: I'm starting a new guitar project.

Finished up all the hardware today, jack, killswitch skewed up. I still have a weak solder somewhere, its very hissy. I'll have to go through them all again to find it... But... SHE'S ALIVE!!!

Going to take a bit to get used to it, warriors are laid out very flat with little neck pocket angle. I'm going to love it.
I may get a more narrow nut to scoot the strings closer.
What's more narrow than an R3??

Here it is nearly done. Still needs headstock decal and maybe fret board decals or something.

HA! my mate did everyone of his guitars with them. They doo look ok in pics but up close they look beyond homo.

The x2n has horsepower its the equivalent to a top fuel dragster.

Re: I'm starting a new guitar project.

MAN! I rewired this sucker three times, each time using a different pot thinking it was the pot that was coincidentally bad.... Nope.

Turns out the diagram I was using for the BARREL output jack was backwards.... Used a generic one off the net somewhere and rewired the tip and inside sleeves the other way.... all that hiss is gone gone gone.

Ended up with a 250 brand new pot in it.... going to redo that tomorrow with a 500k pot.... don't have it in me to rewire it again tonight. It plays pretty well though, fine-tuning things as I go. what a super thin neck... may be the thinnest I've ever played.

Anyhow, only posted it to help someone out down the line perhaps.... THE WARRIOR style BARREL output jacks are wired hot down the middle, and ground on the outside.... quite backwards from normal output jacks...

Re: I'm starting a new guitar project.

I did rewire it today.... but the 500k was too shiny and not enough depth.... I wired the 250 back in... sounds just right. Now I believe I am friggin DONE wiring that thing..... ha ha ha I got a whole lot better at wiring from this project.

Re: I'm starting a new guitar project.

nice axe dude, i see you really enjoyed the killswitch didn't you?

that warrior really looks killer (pun intended) but it still feels like it's missin something, something at the fretboard, since stickers are not an option why not the same fabric method kramersteen used with his proyect fullmap guitar, well maybe not as extreme as kramersteen's build but just enough to add some color and evil to that fretboard

Re: I'm starting a new guitar project.

That's great. Good job. The only thing I would change (just my opinion) is every other dot red on the board and maybe red p'up rings.

Re: I'm starting a new guitar project.

It would be rad to just rip out the old dots and replace them with red ones.

Re: I'm starting a new guitar project.

I could just drip blood on the fretboard too... It has crossed my mind. It won't bother these meat hooks to play it that way either lol.

What say y'all? Blood on the board too? Or other... I agree on the board looking...well...bored.

Re: I'm starting a new guitar project.

Maybe start the blood drips on the white dots???

Re: I'm starting a new guitar project.

It wont last long without clear over it bro. Look at how dirty and destroyed a maple board gets and they usually have a thicker coat of clear.

I actually dont mind how it looks now, the white dots contrast the body rather well. It might be time to just shred the ****ery out of it,
