Red dots would be good , paint on the fretboard won't work out well. Best solution leave it like it is, no work or money.

I agree that the white contrasts with the body nicely; however, if you really want them to be different then here are some inexpensive alternatives...

i did a bit of a photoshop on his picture before and the red sort of gets lost in the rosewood.

Black Fibiengs leather dye one the fretboard could be cool too.
