Part 2..

Archer of fish.... Pat Cummings and Suzy are very old friends of mine, I was very encourging to Pat when they first started out, I talked him into making the performance CD’s he released to show off the guitars tones and I also taked him into making an all wood version of the MC1 at a lower price which was the now famous C90 series that took them into the big leauges in sales. So because I shared the same love of guitar design Pat and I would talk for hours “literally” about designs .... Because of this being the charming sweet guy that Pat is he helped me to finish rebuilding my custom axe.. They are all wonderful people God bless em all... Pats the guy who introduced me to Seymour Duncan.

[/

Here is the response I got.

I am calling BS on this poster, I am editing any greeting and salutations:

"Perhaps he had a level and polish done by someone who works here, off the books as a favor or something.

We do not offer any upgrades, modifications, or repairs on any guitar that is not a Brian Moore."

So this guy is responsible for the C-90? He is the business coach for Brian Moore guitars? Not a chance...he is taking a p*ss and everyones head is getting wet."

With all due respect to Robert S, whose opinions I value extremely highly, Bill Lawrence pups are designed differently from the usual humbucker that has the magnet in the bottom of the pup. The permeability of Alnico magnets in the bottom of the pickup result in some loss of the humbucking effect.

From EVERYTHING I know about physics tells me that what you post here is incorrect....the humbucking effect is about coils and their phase. Not the position of the magnet.

Okey Archer you are digging for worms...

I will give Pat a call now and say hi...

Jeez ... some guys never quit...

I!ll have him email you okey satisfied?

Re: In all due respect and honesty I am dissapointed with these Duncan pickups

hee hee he thinks its a Bill lawrence conspiracy....

Re: In all due respect and honesty I am dissapointed with these Duncan pickups

Here is a trade secred that everyone knows.

if you set your gains to high your tone shrinks....if you have to much compression you loose dynamics (harmonics)

Once again, this guys posts dont ring true. I am going to stick my neck out and hopefully save a lot of ppl time in this (parody) of a thread. I am calling shennanigans (sp?) on this guy.

Re: In all due respect and honesty I am dissapointed with these Duncan pickups

Post a pic of the guitar. Or a link to one. I have an open offer from BMG to send a photo so that they can confirm or deny it being worked on.

Re: In all due respect and honesty I am dissapointed with these Duncan pickups

their phone is not answering I'm sending and email now..

what phone number are you using?

send that to me...

Re: In all due respect and honesty I am dissapointed with these Duncan pickups

I thought Patrick was a dear friend who sought out business advice from you instead of his partners. YOu should know his #.

**shenannigans**

Not going to talk about this w/ you any longer. If you want you can in a private message but I think you are just trying to sound like a bigshot. Your posts dont ring true. Does that mean I HAVE to be correct? No

But I am convinced I am.

quote from fish " thought Patrick was a dear friend who sought out business advice from you instead of his partners. YOu should know his #.

where did I say he sought my advice instead of his partners?

You have a knack for quoting sentences that were never used outside of your mind.
once again "relax" I have emailed Pat , you can email him again in an hour or so he will answer your questions....

Are you happy now that you once again have put yourself in ackward position?

Why all the tude? Why the teeth?

I think that you should talk to me ... if you are a gentleman I deserve an apology..

as a matter of fact forget it.... I can see that you have issues beyond pickups...

I didnt come here to fight with anyone... I met some good people here.... but once again this is why I dont usually post on these forums...

Re: In all due respect and honesty I am dissapointed with these Duncan pickups

I dont think I owe an appology till I hear that my suspiciions are either correct or incorrect. No teeth and if your stuff is correct then thats cool...but like I said earlier your posts just dont ring true and your tone is condescending rather than sounding like someone that is seeking aid.

I have nothing to prove here, and this isnt about me....its about you being ab le to back up some rather shady sounding posts. Nice thing about this forum is how ppl all talk at the same level and have open attitudes to each other.

At this time I dont really have an opinion on you..and hope that you are on the up and up and are cool. But I have doubts and I suspect a lot of ppl here have doubts but arent saying it.

Anyway, this isnt the place...you can shift to private message or not reply to this cause this isnt forum healthy any longer.

Oh brother... really going off now.. :-)

Hey tone is a preference thing and everyone goes about seeking their tone differently Jimi did everything wrong as far as those sets of rules were "back then" and he created something new which become the status quo now... so maybe some people have to think outside the box and break the rules again... and even if its a waste of time isnt guitar playing supposed to be fun? You sound like a old professor say "bah humbug bolderdash" come on get hip... try "crazy stuff and have fun" you may discover something you may not but you'l smile more :-),,,,

is it a holiliday over there?

I concur. I think since your questions were pretty much answered, you should just quit now. There is no need for any more arguing.

Re: In all due respect and honesty I am dissapointed with these Duncan pickups

he he.

funny, I'm a young professor with nothing on the books on tuesday mornings. Not a holiday.

Anyway guy its been a slice...post your proof and then you are cool. You arent going to be able to shift things to me cause I have nothing to proove. If you dont want to then thats also cool....up to you.

be cool guy.

Re: In all due respect and honesty I am dissapointed with these Duncan pickups

okey your last post sounded cool....

thanks... just as there are different tones of pickups there are different tones of writing speach etc... you may find my honesty and openess "weird and shady" but you basically called me untruthful....

Hey I'm not one to hold a grudge....

I respect everyones views but being that I am an old fart I get kinda tired of this kinds wasted energy... we could be talken babes, gear, tones, food, striped bass fishing... all the cool stuff...

Anyway .....

No grudge here.... I was 35 once, I admit that I can sound too fantasic at times....

Re: In all due respect and honesty I am dissapointed with these Duncan pickups

Hey Archer,

Check out this: http://p082.ezboard.com/fguitarsbyfenderfrm30.showMessageRange?topicID=319.topic&start=41&stop=60

Go to the post by Bill Lawrence, then down to #1 Magnets and read the last sentence in that section.

You may find the rest of the post interesting, also.

Re: In all due respect and honesty I am dissapointed with these Duncan pickups

It all comes down to knowing the right pup and having them installed properly. I would recommend finding a new Tech. Ask some of the guys here who they use. Maybe you can find someone here that can point you in the right direcetion. The only comment I can make is........ I have played hundreds of guitars of all varieties all with one form or another of Duncans. The only "noise" I have ever heard from them is 60 cycle hum from some single coils. I have never heard a HB pup that was installed correctly make anything other than great tone!

Re: In all due respect and honesty I am dissapointed with these Duncan pickups
