I have been revisiting my digitech pedals, and must say, they are all pretty quality units.

I've got a Hot Head, a Screamin Blues, and a Bad Monkey. As someone who doesn't like overdrives all that much, especially Tubescreamers, they all do a pretty fine job.

The Hot Head is especially nice, seeing as it fixes the tone control problem with the DS-1. No more of that silly mid scoop.

I've got a Screamin' Blues on my main board, if my other overdrives don't have "it", it always gives me what I need...

Screaming Blues is a Blues Driver. It gets rid of all the fizzieness of the Blues Driver as well, which is actually somewhat difficult to do. Most of the characteristic BD-2 sound comes from this one section of the pedal that is actually just the tone section on an amp albeit with fixed values for the knobs and before the distortion section, if you get rid of that it gets rid of the fizz but completely changes the character of the pedal.

I just watched the JHS Pedals video of the Bad Monkey vs. the world and I nearly died laughing, thanks to the recurring line "Let me know in the comments if you hear a difference."

Then I saw the JHS Pedals instagram post where Josh said, " To those mad that I raised the price and you can't afford one, you had 19 years, but you never cared." That made me laugh even harder.

I'm seriously sore from laughing so hard. Josh is brilliant, I'm glad he got some folks to pull their forgotten pedals out of storage and play with them again! Hopefully he also taught some folks that it's not so much the gear you have but how you use it.

I'm not salty about the price jump as I'm not big on TS pedals, as exemplified by my trading of my Full Drive II for an OCD last year.

Has anyone tried the iStomp? The Ampdriver and Redline are fantastic. The Ampdriver gives a 600hz bump which you get to control which works really well to give certain amps a more “metal” sounding thump and the redline like the bad monkey has a 2 band EQ so it can be as tight or ballsy as you like.
