Maybe it just isn't stable for the tuning and string sizes you are using? It might be fine in standard.

Maybe. But 11's in D Standard/Drop C isn't much different from 10's in E, so it's not like I'm using SRV levels of tension here either.

Mine? No. It's Inca Silver. It's just yellowish because of the aged nitro.

I was thinking tortoise shell pickguard and cream single hum and cream volume control, but my Amazon order got delayed for the tortoise shell pickguard. I'm also thinking aged white, cream, or aged pearloid.

I ordered two. They were cheap enough. White aged pearloid and cream. I might order something else in the future if I'm not convinced.

Not sure about what knobs, though. I'm going to be putting a black pickup in there for now because that's what I have. But I'm sure I'll order something else in the future that's actually F-Spaced/Trembucker. Do you think double cream or zebra would look good in there?

A cheap router bit will only last one or two jobs. A good one will last through a dozen but will cost $20-50.

Aged pearloid for the win. Cream or white pup covers and control knobs.

Also, Amazon sent me whatever the fuck they wanted, LOL. Tortoise shell. The other two are supposed to come tomorrow. I was thinking about returning this one, but I kinda like how it looks like the BW is in a sea of lava. Or Mustafar. Or Mount Doom. Looks evil while still looking like a boomer's guitar, LOL.

Sounds interesting! It doesn't sound darker than the LP, but the high-mid spike seems more intense on the LP. It is way thinner in the low-end too, but I expected it to be. The Black Winter has a big low-end rolloff, and that's why it's so tight. It also has that super emphatic attack that I love about the Black Winter.

Still... I would like it to be more sizzly and bright like a Strat should. So I got two options: either change the pickup altogether (I would like to see an all-cream pickup with the tortoise shell pickguard) or find a single humbucker pickguard that has the hole a bit closer to the bridge (I would like to try a lighter-colored pickguard too).

What do you think?

Honestly, I think the BW would be a better match for the LP, but at the same time, I also love that 500T, and I don't want to rip it off.
