9finger I think I have found a solution to your spring piercing problem. If you notch out the under side of the floyed to fit snugly up against the topside of your tool. Then attach two springs with some kind of slip cover on them to the second to outer holes of the floyed and then rap them under your nut sack. then attach them to the outer holes of the floyed you should be good to go.
