You'd need a full attenuator bro. This is NOT a bedroom amp, it could light a stadium on fire though! You won't get any OD from this beast unless you go very, very, VERY loud :D Looks beautiful though, I'd love an Orange too, maybe someday a Thunderverb 50...

attenuator, good call! i'd have to look at how rare/'vintage' the amp is with the experts before i start sticking switches on lol - i read somewhere there was a 60w variant with 2 el34s that used the same board.. maybe it's an easy mod for the right guy!

thunderbirds are sick amps as well, they're getting a reputation as metal amps and listening to the clips i can see why!

Cheap yet lots of details on the specs? So I wonder how clueless the seller was ? or maybe just desperate who knows. Still great catch ... Reckon you can post a review once you rock out on it a bit

i found the field guide page, all those specs are the ones i found :) the seller had been told it was a british valve amp and had '125' as the model number.. detective work :D

Here ya go fella...... if I ever sell my old '70's 4 x 12 I'll give you first refusal... but only as long as you still have that amp. I think it would sit rather nicely on top of my cab... what do you think? I am being serious, if I let it go in the near future I'll be in touch if you're interested? Nice amp by the way... well worth spending some cash on it if it needs it, good score!! All the best.

Yeah, both amps are Cornfords but alas I just sold the Hellcat and only have the MK left at the moment. The cab on the left is a Mongotone solid mahogany 4 x 10, got a Cornford 4 x 12 and the orange 4 x 12. Had to sell quite a few pieces off recently... 3 guitars, amp... loads of effects and pick ups etc so my rig is now depleted compared to what it was!

Anyway, if the Orange 4 x 12 is on my list of things to go in the near future I'll be in touch. I'm up in the West Mids should it happen and you want to see it. All the best.:)
