FuseG4

Our Neighbor Totoro
I had two amps but the cheaper one, a Bugera v22 doesn't power on anymore. I tried tubes and the fuse looks good but I had to pull it apart to see the fuse and I just thought I would like to be done with it

Main amp is a Princeton reverb ri, the 68 custom one!
I just ordered a second one to go with it. Got a great deal!

They are just like a regular Princeton reverb but the negative feedback and some tone shaping stuff was changed for a little bassier tone and more frying bacon overdrive.

Running stereo wet/wet with delays reverbs and chorus for like... Ambient stuff, dreampop washy stuff, general droning.

Had a hard time not selecting a different amp for variety's sake! Like I looked at ac15, blues jr, Peavey stuff, orange stuff marshall stuff, deluxe reverb,

But it sure seems easiest to deal with phase issue things with two of the same amp and it should sound a little more "accurate" for stereo fx... Like would you put headphones from different brands on each ear for just listening back casually? I wouldn't!

Feels a little like a missed opportunity to have two different amps cuz I like what that does for overdrive tones but can always go wet/dry/wet later or change it I guess! But I'm running out of space for gear xD what a good problem to have in a way. Times in my life I was broke and couldn't afford to even think about a two amp rig

I got six years out of that bugera v22! For the $225 I paid for it that seems amazing to me.

Is the Bugera blowing fuses? If so pull the tubes replace the fuse and power it up with no tubes. If it blows the fuse with no tubes its very likely the mains transformer.

The fuse didn't look blown but when plugged in it just no pilot light no sound, tried another iec cable and nothin!

It's in my garage. Maybe sometime I'll try another fuse, but I'm not in a big hurry, as I feel like the amp was only ever just ok and I can't imagine wanting to use it much now that a replacement I like much more is on the way!

Selling it is about the only thing I really think I would want to do with it if it was working,

Good for you.
Two different amps is nice for recording both simultaneously, but for live use you can’t beat two identical units.

Do think about buying a Lehle P-split box. This will give you Earth isolation and a phase switch, which is invaluable.
Work towards inputting to both preamps all the time, and switch at line-level on the preamp outputs.
You can run both preamps into an A/B box, then into a stereo effect. Lots of scope there.
Or run both preamps into separate chains of effects, then A/B them on the fly.
Or simply both preamps into a stereo-in effect, then into both power amps - and possibly use channel switching on the amps if they have that.
Nothing beats the instant wall of sound that two amps provide.
My money would be on an old Axe FX 2 XL - which will take care of switching both preamps, and easily provide two discrete signal paths, and blend/switch them at its output - with fantastic reverbs and much more.
I think to an extent the Helix HX Fx will do that too, for £300. But the Axe Fx 2 XL is highly recommended, with a cheap Midi board.
Pay attention to stereo reverb, and the ability to pan delays - things can get incredibly huge, even from just two 12’s.
