Why is it that buying something new always seems to aggravate my GAS even more? I picked up the Avatar today and just for ****s and giggles I tried it with the early 90's Dual Rectifier they had there. It may have been a pre-500, I'm not sure. But holy hell that Mesa and my Avatar sounded awesome together. I'm considering picking up the Mesa... I mean at $1000 it's not a bad deal at all.

Buy some damn recording equipment you slacker. Interface, mics, software etc. Put all the guitar gear to use where it really matters (studio/live). How many times must I bug you about this before you do it?

No idea as to what changes were made, but I know there were at least some. I do know that pre-500 Dual Rectifiers are much more valuable than your average DR - only a few years ago they were selling for around 2K-2300.

I was told the cab has two V30's and two Greenbacks, but I'm going to check tonight.

Wow...sounds like you got a good deal then. Whatever players may think about Mesa...they DO build a good product.
I know I will be sorry I asked...as it will confirm what I already know about trying to sell my (with ATA) 2 remaining 4x12, but.....how much was your Avatar.?

Once I pick up that new guitar I've discussed, I'm done with guitar gear for a while. Any purchases will be going towards recording gear.

Honestly the only reason I haven't recorded anything is that I have zero desire to learn to use Reaper. The recordings I made I used garageband and I love how easy it was. I have a SM57, I have an interface. I just need a way to run garageband. My brother is buying a new computer soon so I'll get his mac mini to record with.

I do want to pick up another mic or three though, I want to record in stereo. And preferably with two mics on each amp. Which means I'll need an interface that can take 4 mics.

Ugh.
