Incoming!!!

Re: Incoming!!!

That is fantastic! Beautiful guitar. Love the claw neck, and the blue/gold is gorgeous. If I had to have a pointy Pacer with no pick guard, that would be it. Love my Deluxe.

Re: Incoming!!!

Thanks! I thought it looked pretty classy. Tuned it and been playing it off and on throughout the evening. Thankfully the 3 Mini Toggles are On/Off/On so each of the three Humbuckers are wired to be Full/Off/Split.

Re: Incoming!!!

I reaaalllyy love that special finish on the guitar. It's like blue marble or granite. And it's pretty ****ing pristine for a 26 year old guitar.

Re: Incoming!!!

Thanks! The Candy Blue really is a beautiful color. It's got a paint chip on back top corner of neck heel and two other minor finish scuffs but it is pretty clean overall.

OMG!!! NICE!!! Congrats!! That is almost the ULTIMATE Kramer to me!!! Claw neck is my fave, that logo is my fave, as is the pickup config.. Looks to be in great shape! I too like the mini switches.. look clean and there is little margin for error. I had a Focus 6000 in that color.. sweet color.

Re: Incoming!!!

Thank you! Enjoying playing it at the moment. One of few times I've bought a Kramer as a complete assembled guitar rather than assembling a Mutt.

Re: Incoming!!!

Do you think it would be better/different with the humbucker slanted the opposite way? Slanting the opposite way just makes more sense to me but this seems to be the normal. Any idea why they do that?

Re: Incoming!!!

Like the Washburn Steve Stevens Strat Style or Jake E. Lee Charvel? I can't say I've ever played one that had the reverse slant but my uneducated technologically challenged thought would be that it would be only a subtle difference.

Re: Incoming!!!

Too sweet.

I think my very first guitar was a cheap (& I mean cheap) knock off of that guitar. It had a similar shape, similar headstock, the mini toggles & a speaker mounted where your forearm would lay.

Re: Incoming!!!

That is a killer looking guitar! I love the colour and the gold hardware. It looks real sharp and classy. I think Kramer himself would approve.

Re: Incoming!!!

REALLY cool! I have one of the 24 fret bodies, but I thought no necks were made for them? If they were that is awesome, and something that is not well known amongst Kramerites.

A small correction, though: this isn't a Pacer Deluxe, but a Pacer Custom I (sans one pickup switch hole). The Deluxe models have a pickguard and standard strat mechanics.

Re: Incoming!!!

Yeah; it's an anomaly whatever it is. Came with the Deluxe TRC so that's what I'm going off of in that regard. I've been told this was part of a new line of 24 Fret Bolt On Models that Kramer was working on and was that was never released when Kramer came to an end. All of a sudden there's a flurry of NOS Kramer 24 Fret Bodies on eBay and Reverb.

A couple of the New Jersey Locals from the old Kramer Forum and on the new FB Kramer Family & Friends bought parts lots at the Kramer Bankruptcy Offerings and one of them said he had see one or two Claw Neck 24 Fret Necks - one 25 1/2" Scale and the other 24 3/4". There certainly weren't many as I've had a few contact last from people with the bodies wanting to know if I knew where to find another of the Necks. I got lucky with this one as a complete guitar.

1990 Kramer Deluxe 24

Re: Incoming!!!

Lucky no doubt!! Id love to score some of the NOS stuff. Esp the neck or shorter scale neck! IIRC, the ProAxe is about the only one to have that shorter scale neck. I have a body that needs a neck..
