Incoming!!!

Re: Incoming!!!

First weekend I have had totally free in two months. Actually spent a couple hours plugged in and getting to know this one. Got the pickups all adjusted and fussed with the Invader as it tilted back quite a bit with the front/closest to neck coil way more pronounced with the direct mount and I wasn't liking the tone at all - thin sounding and lacked definition. Finally cut some black foam and inserted it on the back side and was able to get the coil sitting almost level now with the bottom/closest to the bridge coil sitting just a bit higher. Wasn't wanting to have to use a Humbucker mounting ring as I wanted to retain the direct mount. Sound is much more full and defined and actually sounds like a SD INVADER now!

Schweet!

Simply from looking at the pictures, I can tell that guitar is very well setup, and must practically play itself! :D

Re: Incoming!!!

It definitely plays nicely. Neck feels a little different as to the back contour that the prior 22 Fret Claw and Fully Bound Maple Lefty Kramers I had. I've put all my other guitars away and am only playing this one at the moment so I can get a real feel for it.

That guitar sure does look like it can play nicely. Kramer makes real good guitars and I've played a few. I wanted to ask about the switches. Are they 2-way or 3-way? They look like on/off switches for each pickup. If they were 3-way, the 3rd position would be a coil split?
