Which pots should be used with the Red Devils 250k or 500k? I sent the question to the Seymour Duncan website last week but have not got a reply from them yet.

The included instructions specify 250k all around. They came with a cute sticker too. Not sure what it refers to.

Has anyone tried these yet? I am in need of a new single coil sized middle pickup for my homemade HSH Strat
Currently it is a Custom 8/Quarter Pound/WHL, but the hum form the QP is too much for me to tolerate, though I love the thick blues P90 tone of the QP.
I am considering going with either a Pearly Gates Strat OR the new Red Devils, as well as do a Series/Parallel switch for which ever one I go with. And if I should put the higher resistance/output of the bridge version in the middle position to closer match the output of the Custom 8.

We of course expect every possible permutation of coil options, including series, parallel, phasing, HOOP, and different pot values.

I'm one of those folks who actually likes the middle pup by itself, so can do.
Definitely doing series/parallel. I'll see what I can do about the others. I've never been a fan of OOP or HOOP. Especially in a Strat.

All I care about is how the bridge pickup sounds in regular old humbucker mode and then how it compares with the JB Jr and Little ‘59.

"My American Stratocaster with the Red Devil bridge pickup in it sounds like a Les Paul! This RD is the most humbucker sounding single coil size humbucker I've ever heard. When played back to back with my Les Paul it kept a consistency where I didn't need to re-eq my settings or adjust my volume knob on the amp. So far it seems to be a keeper. I'll make a full review/report after band practice Thursday night."
NOTE: Nic's Les Paul is loaded with an SD Antiquity bridge pickup.

Yep, me, too...I ordered one today for a white Squier SE Strat I'm having overhauled into a total pro grade beast.
