In this regard, yes, the resonant peak does get further shifted and dampened beyond what happens in the coils themselves. I was just simulating the coils themselves to see if there was any voicing change in the pickup itself when wired parallel, cut or series. In the coils alone, there is not.
But yes, add in the volume control, tone control, guitar cable capacitance and input capacitance and everything changes. Just w/ the volume control alone added to the simulation, series has the softest resonant peak, while coil cut and parallel have sharper ones.
