I'd be more likely to play one if the p90 were in the neck or middle positions. Like most mahogany short scale (Les Paul style) guitars, they tend to be fairly harmonically dead/simple slabs of wood which make them sound great when played loud, and kind of lacking or flat in a lot of other settings.
