I imagine it's just anger from all the confusion. ESP owns Schecter, but they operate totally independent of each other.
Exactly.... Schecter is a wholly owned subsidiary of ESP and has been for something like 15 years or so.. It´s true that Schecter denies any connection.... but denying it doesn´t mean it´s not true

Some Jacksons are made in Fender plants, so Fender and Jackson are a little bit more affiliated than Schecter and ESP.
I have no idea where you got this.... nor can I understand why people are still perpetuating this bs almost 3 years after the takeover....
Fender owns J/C, yes. BUT:
Fender and Jackson´s japanese plants are miles away from each other,
J/C doesn´t produce in korea, Fender doesn´t produce in India.....
And in the USA they´re merely in the same building....
Fender
owns Jackson, yes... but that doesn´t by any stretch of the imagination mean that Fender is making Jacksons..... Exact same as Schecter /ESP: They´re owned by them, but operate completely separately, with an occasional part or feature provided or licensed out by the other company (Stratheads on the PC1, for ex.)
As far as why Schecter would deny it the way they do: because a lot of people are boycotting ESP on the grounds of the ripoffs they´ve done for the last 30 years and continue to do, and therefore wouldn´t even consider a Schecter, USA made or not,
because either way you´re still giving ESP money... That´s the reason I wouldn´t buy a Schecter at the current time except early 80s and used
