Is their a LP style guitar that has a Strat control layout?

Anybody know of any companies that make LP style guitars that have a 3 Knob configuration like a strat or even two knob with the vol knob being close to the bridge like a strat? Not that I don't like the way LPs are made normally but I like the strat control set up way better and was wondering is their a LP style guitar that is set up like that or would I have to buy a body and have a luthier route it out that way?

Maybe a PRS model of some description.

Anyone who does the pure LP shape seems to copy the entire layout IME

Lots do that I believe, Ibanez makes a line like the one in my sig; ESP/LTD Eclipse; PRS (SE) Singlecut and Tremonti models... Just to name a few.

I kind of dig the LP layout but it hasn't felt familiar

Ratherdashing's Warmoth LP that he's currently restoring. :D

PRS Starla. 2 knobs, 3 way blade.

what i just did on my les paul is g-and-l ptb [passive treble and bass bleed] for each pickup, using the stock controls. then i added a schatten under-guard pot for master volume, sticking out from below the short side of the guard. they were designed for archtop acoustic guitars with floating guards, to help maintain the classic looks when adding a pickup. this wiring works great. it adds a lot of tonal versatility to a paul, while making the volume easier to get at, and barely changing the look. and if you want to reverse it, all holes and other evidence remain hidden by the guard. the holes are in the side of the bridge pickup ring, and you also have a glue spot on the back of the guard.

I was at GC today picking up some strings and decided to try some Epis and PRS and I have to say that 1 the Epi LPs aren't that bad they sound and feel good. 2 I tried a PRS DGT with the trem and OMG that was the best feeling guitar I have ever played it literally played it self. Bending felt great and effortless and the tone was very articulate and clear with the stock pups. I see why people love the feel of those PRS guitars.

Delaney guitars, I believe. Don't know their price range. I was going to eventually do a warmoth build of something similar. By the time I get to it, I'm assuming they'll be making single cuts again.

Yep, back when Warmoth offered LP bodies (they just recently stopped cuz Gibson slapped their wrists) you could order them with a Strat-style control layout. Being a Strat guy who wanted an LP, this seemed like a great idea to me.

Unfortunately they no longer offer the LP body, and there aren't any left in the showcase (they are blowing out necks with Gibbo headstock shapes though), but they do say they are working on their own single-cut body design. Hopefully you will be able to order it with the Strat controls.

I hope they do come up with their own. I like the quality of Warmoth and the ability to customize to your liking with out paying a Custom shop price.

So far Im leaning toward a PRS especially after playing one today and it was just so comfortable including the trem. But they only had two pups and I like a H-S-H set up and the ones at GC didn't have any like that.

This is so cool to me. Mike Delaney is a friend of mine, we worked together at a local shop recently. Seeing some cat from CT drop his name on this forum warms my heart :)

IMO, Godin, PRS, and Brian Moore had the most strat-like Gibson designs. I'm a player who lives on the 50 yard line between Gibson and Fender, bouncing back and forth between those two. My favorite guitars for the middle ground are PRS McCarty and Godin guitars with hums or P-90's. As much as I'm comfortable with the Gibson toggle and Fender 5 way, the McCarty vol/pull-up tone/3 way is my favorite
