Is there a difference between Blackout and EMG quick connect cables?

Question in the title.

I need 2x Blackout quick connect cables and can't seem to find them for sale anywhere. I have the pickups, but not the cables.

Does anyone know where I can get them?

I've seen the EMG ones for sale. Are they the same thing? Is there any difference at all (even in the colour of the wires, etc.)?

Thanks.

Re: Is there a difference between Blackout and EMG quick connect cables?

I notice the Blackouts quick connect cables seem to have a black wire? So 3 wires in total: white, red, black.

The EMG quick connect cables seem to start with 3 at the connector, but then I see only red and white wires.

What's going on?

Electrically speaking, no. AFAIK the intention was that Blackouts would be directly swappable for EMGs. My Bro used to have a Schecter 7-string, and he could swap between the stock EMG-707s and Blackouts merely by unplugging one and plugging the other in.

After the piece of white heatshrink, it becomes the ground/shield/drain for the hot signal in the white wire, which is a coax.

But isn't the bare/black wire supposed to be soldered to the back of the volume pot for earthing? How does it work when the white wire connects to the lug of the pot?

The center of the white coax wire connects to the lug on the pot. The shield on the white coax wire connects to the back of the pot.
