Is there a way to mod a bigsby b7 to do divebombs?

Not really.

On a typical archtop guitar, letting the strings go slack would allow the bridge to shift.

Yes - replace it with a Floyd Rose

put a spacer (or a washer if you don't have a bigsby spacer) under the spring. It will raise the arm and give you more room to bomb. You can experiment with different thickness washers.

Or bend the arm up a bit so it has more reach.

But divebombs......not really.

Depends on what you have the Bigsby on and how you have it setup. I have no problems what-so-ever doing divebombs.

I'm thinking a custom part modeled after the Vibramate might get you a little more bend, by moving the string ends out further from the axis of rotation.

Securb, there's an a GIF attached to your post that I can't seem to view, even opening it in a separate window. How do you have yours set up to make divebombing possible?

I have a spacer on the spring that gives me a bit if room and travel for the bar
