Yeah, there is worse. You may have to use your guitar some day as a shield in case you get in a fight with Chuck Norris. Here's a guitar that very thing happened to.

Than having a screwdriver fall on the top of your brand new guitar?

I was just changing the bridge humbucker and screwing in the pickup ring when the screwdriver slipped and fell just a couple of centimeters. Left a scratch. Could have been much worse, I suppose. Maybe if I'd sticked with seymours this wouldn't have happened - must be a punishment for straying from the path!

I have a Guild Bluesbird that the top had been stripped and a Luthier/friend put a beautiful flame burst finish on the quilted maple top. The guitar was utterly beautiful. I was putting it back in its case after playing it and my reading glasses fell off and put a ding right next the switch. Now these type of things don't really bother me that much, I have guitars that have "battle scars" if you will and for the most part its part of playing. You are gonna put some dings in them. I had this guitar home less than a day!!!!:banghead:
