Re: Is this a real Gibson SG?

I have that very same guitar in that Wineburst color. The thing rips all over my Gothic SG and the coil tap opens up alot of versitility. I got it off of Ebay for $385. I wish Gibson still made these. It seems they always cancel something thats before its time and replace it with sh!t.

BTW, Hey XSSIVE what pup did you put in your bad boy?

That is technically an SG-1. Gibson chaged the name to "X" two years after they were introduced. I've got one for sale here. :burnout:

It's not an SG-1. There has been an SG-1 in the early seventies, but that guitar was even more basic than this one. You are close though, there has been a different name for this guitar. They used to call them SG All American 1 in its early days, for a short time.

Re: Is this a real Gibson SG?

Every time somebody posts an SG-X, i go tear apart every couch in the neighborhood for spare change, hoping to come up with enough change to hit a coinstar and have one to call my own. The neighbors all get pissed and chase me around with pitchforks and stuff. Then i get home with my 'loot' and only have enough for a couple of 40's so i end up getting wasted instead.

STOP SHOWING ME THIS GUITAR

I thought they were called SG-X as well....

Are you referring to the SG-1 / SG All American 1-matter?
You may find this interesting. This is an actual SG-1 from the early seventies. This is a 1995 SG All American 1. And finally, in 1998, it was renamed to SG-X (that can be found here and here) :) .
