Is this a real Seymour Duncan?

@Dave the Barbarian welcome to the forum. According to the Duncan site, the DCR reading is closer to the JB Jr or Red Devil. How does it sound?

Didn’t the JB come out in October 2025? I know the previous owner had had the guitar since 2018 and did no mods to it.

Are you sure about that? I know the full size and Strat version has but this article indicated that it was new for Teles in 2025.

oh yes, the tele version is new. sorry, i missed the tele part and thought we were talking the strat version. the pic was on the previous page.

that is an older style pup so the 2010 date lines up. as far as what it is, there isnt anything to indicate what it might be. if its a cs pup, it could be almost anything. if it sounds good, then run with it! nice looking tele

I am leaning to it being a Little 59. They were available in tele versions at the time and Ron Kirn said he thought that was what it was.
It measures close to the spec when accounting for loss from capacitance by measuring at the cable also. The underside looks like a few photos I have seen of them. I just wish it had a sticker or logo. It sounds awesome and it's staying either way.

I am now 99% sure that it is indeed a Little 59. I was able to get it into some good light last night and you can see the impression of the Seymour Duncan logo on the face of the pickup. Someone either rubbed it off or it has just been worn off over time. This and all of the other reasons I listed above lead me to believe that it’s a Little 59. Thanks for the help here.

Hi all! I recently picked up what was labelled as a seymour duncan alnico ii pro telecaster neck pickup off of marketplace, but when I received it I noticed that the label on the back of the pickup did not indicate the specific model of the pickup. It has "SD 2 99" stamped on the back with a white label with "1" on it. It's got cloth wiring as well.

Could someone help me verify the model of this pickup?

Good Morning everyone.

It’s been several months that I wish to buy it from this person but no logo on the plate, a logo that seems small to me.
Is this pickup a fake? It’s a Sh-5.

What do you think?
