Is this made in the USA?

Wussup everyone
i was reading musician's friend's catalog the other day,and i suddenly saw that they are selling a fender showmaster for 599 dollars. The showmaster had highly figured quilt bubinga top, and i was wondering how come its so cheap? i'm sorry i dont have the links but if you'll search musicians' friend for "showmaster quilt" you'll see it
they were also selling a nice ash body strat with highly figured maple to for the same price. Why? is it made in mexico or something?

i bet it sounds like i'm working for musician's friend or something but really, i dont. i'm thinking about buying this guitar and i was wondering what's wrong with it that cost less than normal showmasters

I seriously doubt you'll find anything like that made in America for that kind of price. It costs too much to have a hungover worker do a crappy job on an instrument here.utahere: I'm sure I'll get flamed for that, but it's pretty much the truth for the most part.

They're made in Korea. Same factory that's making the Lite Ash Tele and Strats. BTW, I bought one of the Lite Ash Teles. In fact, this is the guitar-in-question.

It's very nice. Even Seymour had to admit it when I showed up with it to a gig last weekend. The wood is spectacular. Seymour looked at the birdseye neck and fingerboard and said, "If you bought that neck from [major USA parts supplier], you'd pay $400 just for the neck." The body is two-piece swamp ash. Seymour Duncans, of course. My only complaint is the finish is a little thick for my taste -- though very shiny.

So, to answer your question, no those SD-loaded Showmasters are not Made in USA. But they're damn nice guitars. And you can't come close for the price.

What pick ups do you have in that tele by the way? Looks like a nice axe ive always liked the unfinsihed color, looks very raw and classy

I´m not sure what you mean "think differently". TH4e facts say it´s made in Korea, and any amount of thinking isn´t going to change that

There making some Quaility guitars over in Korea now in days.
They got good at it, and fast!! I wonder if the guitar in ? is
made at the samick plant?? I've got 3 sammy's ,and there
